Recipes Miscellaneous Recipes Cookbooks I've always loved nuts and butter. My father showed me that glorious combination when he introduced me to Roasted Chestnuts, and it became a tradition I looked forward to every winter when I was little. Now, I make these Sugar and Spice Nuts especially for my father and another batch for my family because we all like them too. Mmm. Thank you, Daddy. Enjoy, PS This recipe freezes very well. |

Assemble:
Mix all the ingredients in a heavy skillet. Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes, until the water evaporates. Pour the nuts out onto two large cookie sheets sprayed with non-stick spray. Separate them quickly with a fork, and let them cool. The nuts can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer. They may be kept at room temperature for about two weeks.
