Lost in Tibet is the true story of five American airmen whose WW II plane crash sent them into Tibet, a land under seige then as now.  Authors Richard Starks and Miriam Murcutt did their research for this adventure in a lost world.  Nancy

A well researched novel can take you inside a real world you could not otherwise enter - like the labor camps and monasteries of today's Tibet as found in The Skull Mantra by Eliot Pattison.  When such a novel is also well written, reading fiction seems like engaging in forbidden pleasure.  Nancy
