Our Team

Skunks are on the move - when aren't they?  To remove the smell from a dog who has been sprayed by a skunk, try this:

Combine the following:

  • One quart hydrogen peroxide from any drug store
  • 1/2 cup baking soda from your kitchen
  • 2 teaspoons Dawn or similar dish washing detergent

Wash your dog in the mixture, letting the stuff sit there for about eight minutes while you keep anything from getting in the dog's eyes.

Rinse your dog thoroughly, and wash her again with pet shampoo.

Discard any remaining anti-skunk wash.
