You'll need:
Cut the margarine into the oats, brown sugar, flour and salt until mixture is crumbly. Add vanilla and nuts or raisins. Press the mixture into a 9" x 10" pan sprayed with non-stick spray or grease pan with shortening and dust with flour. Bake in preheated 350˚F oven for 20 to 25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Cool 10 minutes and cut into 32 squares.
