Recipes Cookie
Cookbook Reviews I’ve been making these drop cookies since I was a Girl Scout. In fact, we call them Girl Scout Cookies at Stately Martha Manor. They’re easy and the oatmeal is good for you if you don’t try and eat the entire batch at one sitting! Make some tonight. Enjoy, |

You’ll need:
Over medium heat, combine and melt the butter or margarine, sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes while stirring. (Be sure and time this, as the boiling will set the sugar so your cookies will firm up.) Add the cocoa and peanut butter. Stir until the peanut butter is melted. Remove the mixture from heat. Then stir in the vanilla and add the oats, mixing well. Quickly drop mixture by rounded teaspoon onto the waxed paper. The cookies will harden as they cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 24 cookies. |
