Cookbook Reviews This recipe was given to me by a girl named Dawn, years ago at a potluck supper. It was originally stuffed mushroom caps and quite elegant for the occasion. Over time and in the interest of haste, I have redesigned the recipe. It tastes the same and is easier to make. Enjoy, |
You'll need:
Brown and drain the ground sausage. Rinse it under hot water to remove any extra fat. Dry on paper towels. Mix chopped onions and mayo with sausage. Spread sausage mixture in the bottom of an 8 or 9 inch baking dish. Spread mushroom slices over the sausage. Top with cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 325° F for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through. Serve with fresh bread if desired.
