Air Conditioner / Furnace Air Filters - To keep your air conditioner/furnace running its most efficient, be sure and change your filters faithfully each month. You'll be surprised how much dust, fur and bird feathers (our bird, named Bird, lives near a vent) can accumulate in 30 days, and it will help keep the re-circulated air in the house cleaner. Coupons - As soon as you cut out your coupons for the week, tape corresponding coupons to the inside of cupboard doors where you store particular items. That way, when you run out of something, you just pull of the matching coupon, take it to the store and save money. Postcards - Make your own postcards by cutting off the front of a pretty greeting card that has been sent to you. On the back of the picture, draw a line down the center. Place the address of the recipient on the right of the line along with the proper postage stamp. Write your message on the left and you'll be saving money as well as recycling. Yard Sale Reward - Make the yard sale a family or a neighborhood affair with a barbecue afterwards. The kids will be happy because they’ve made some mad money. You will be happy because you’ve made the house seem larger by removing the unwanted junk and your husband will be ecstatic because he will be able to get the expensive car back in the garage where the junk has been safe and cozy.
