Reviews Recipes If you have the time, this lemonade is the real deal. Martha Bear prefers this particular recipe to the canned, frozen or powdered, but since she is no snob and if the day is hot enough, she’ll drink anything! Enjoy, PS If you have children, check out our Tips for Lemonade Stands. |

You'll need:
In a large saucepan on top of the stove, cook the sugar and water over medium heat, stirring a minute or two or until the mixture begins to boil. Boil it for approximately one minute, stirring so it won’t burn and making sure the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool. Once the mixture is cool, add the lemon juice and the ice cubes if you will serve it immediately. This recipe makes 8 servings. Hold back some of the ice if you won’t serve your lemonade all at once so as not to dilute the mixture as the ice melts. Store what is left, covered, in the refrigerator.
