Rascally Readers began with Martha Bear's love for children. As her stories (see links left column) circulated and charmed readers of all ages, Martha began to notice they brought families together for read out loud fun. She also realized she and her friends could play a small role in the growth of literacy, both in her home state of Florida and in my own Oklahoma as well as everywhere there are children. The gang at MarthaBear.com urges you to read to your children and read with them. As our own Martha BearĀ® says, "Everyone wins when we read together."
