You'll need:
Mix cream cheese and confectioners' sugar by hand until smooth and doughy. Divide mixture in half. Carefully add 1st selection food coloring and peppermint extract to one half of the dough. Add 2nd selection food coloring and wintergreen extract to the other. Add sufficient color so that the two doughs are both a soft pastel color. Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into balls. Dip the balls into granulated sugar. Press them into candy molds. Release the candy from molds and allow it to air dry. Refrigerate or freeze well covered. These are best made 3 weeks in advance. Makes 7 dozen. |
