It was a disaster. Possibly the fault was mine (you think?), but I can't usually blame Julia Child for my cooking calamities so I enjoy repeating the story. In every other case, Julia Child won the respect and admiration of everyone who enjoys good food. No kitchen library would be complete without one of her cookbooks like Baking with Julia. Nancy
	Cook's Illustrated magazine put together a terrific cookbook in *Baking Illustrated. I found recipes I hadn't seen elsewhere, and that always makes my family happy. Nancy*

That meant I fell upon The Doughmakers Cookbook by Bette LaPlante and Diane Culver with little cries of gladness. There is something to learn in the authors' story and lots of good stuff within the recipe pages. Yippee! Nancy

This treasure house of goodies, The Magnolia Bakery Cookbook by Jennifer Appel and Allysa Torey, isn't long, but it probably contains more markers than any other book in the house! Nancy
