Halloween: Cheerleader Costume Home: greenlightwrite.com featuring |

When you talk on the phone to your little granddaughter and ask her, “What are you doing?” and she answers, “Watching football. I would like a cheerleading uniform, please, Grammy,” you know what you have to do. This one is made from a cotton short sleeve t-shirt, but if the weather turns chilly, just put on a long sleeve turtleneck or sweater and long pants in coordinating colors and you’re all set! This outfit makes a fun and easy Halloween costume. Enjoy, |
In your team colors, you’ll need:
To assemble:
Decide on placement of the letters, and iron them on according to the package directions. Decorate the shirt with metallic paint as you like. (I made vertical slashes of gold on the front only.) Let the paint dry for 24 hours or according to the directions on the bottle. Make a bow by placing the strands of colored ribbon on top of each other and looping it back and forth, twisting at the back after each loop. Secure with a wire in the middle, leaving two “tails” of ribbon, each cut in diagonal points. The next day, after the paint is dry, pin the bow to the shirt. Dress the child and cheer along with her at your next Tale Gate Party.
